Imagine yourself not having any belief in God, and disbelieving all of his many miracles

You go thru day to day cursing all that is around you, not happy about much anything. When you hear a Christian talking about all that they have to be thankful for you just say that's a bunch of stuff you don't want to hear and tell them that you don't believe and push them out of your life because you don't agree with anything that you don't believe in or have proof of.

Can you imagine that?

I was listening to some conversation just like that the other night, and then the one who was telling the story told what brought him to believe.

Put yourself in this as if this person is you!

He went thru his life not believing in  God or Jesus Christ for all of the years prior to this in his life.

One evening his wife called him on the phone sounding totally distressed and upset to give him some news that any of us would be devastated to hear.

She said : I don't know how to tell you this but Sarah (your 16 year old daughter) was involved in a car accident just a few hours ago and she is hurt really bad and they aren't sure if she is going to make it.

You and your wife are both racing to the hospital to see your daughter.. thinking of all of the love and precious moments that you have shared with her growing up. Tears rolling down your cheeks and thinking that all of those precious moments are fixing to come to an end.. and just hoping that at least you will get to see her face  (what are you thinking about) looking forward to seeing the joys of life on her face for many years... and now hearing that it may be the final hours.

As you run into the hospital so scared to think of just how bad it could be... and as you run in you see your wife sitting in the emergency room waiting room crying her eyes out.. before a word is said (what are you thinking)

Your wife sees you and jumps up into your arms searching for comfort from this tragedy.. when you are comforting each other trying to re assure each other that Sarah will be ok. ( now what are you thinking)

Hours pass very slowly as if the clock has stopped you still can see your daughter and they dont know if she will ever regain consciousness, and the doctors are working on her and there you are you and your wife both so upset nothing seems to be a comfort.. you tell stories of things Sarah has done throughout the years of raising her.

You try to comfort each other as best you can (what do you say) (what are you thinking)

When you see the doctor come out looking tired with traces of blood still on his scrubs( what is going thru your mind right at that moment)

He says only time will tell if she has a chance to make it, she was hurt very badly and he says it is a miracle of God that she is still alive so far.. and that she is very lucky to even have the chance to live thru this that she does have. (what are you thinking)

(Remember that you are a firm rock solid disbeliever of God and all of his power)

Do you tell the doctor that God doesn't exist? Do you tell him to stop talking about miracles of God because you don't believe in that stuff?

Do you?

Would you?

Could you?

Would your wife agree if you did?

Are you ready to give up hope?

Are you ready to give up all of those fond memories you shared with your daughter?

All just because you don't believe.

( give this some hard  and serious thought)

Time still passing as though it is backing up, you and your wife in tears hoping Sarah will make it thru this.

Now it is the next day:

You over hear nurses talking about that girl from the accident, and how it is just a miracle that she has made it this far. With her injuries its hard to imagine that she wasn't killed instantly. They say her life is in Gods hands...( remember you don't believe in God)

What they are saying is like your daughters fate is all in the hands of a being that you don't believe in!

Do you interrupt the nurses to tell them to stop talking about God! ?

You are her father and you don't believe? (could you even bring yourself to say that)

Do some serious thinking!

I only heard a little bit of this story but it is definitely enough to make anyone think about what they would do.

The man who was telling this story caught himself saying things like God help her, Please God, and many other things while his daughter laid on the verge of death.

It took a person who had been there to tell him that he heard what he had said in the past about God, and then heard him begging God for his daughter to as him if he had became a believer to get him to see what he had been doing for him to realize that without God their is no hope!

 With God in our lives any miracle is possible!

From what I heard his daughter had a slow but healthy recovery from her injuries

As much of a miracle as that is. I personally believe that it is just as amazing that her dad found God as a result of her accident, and someone merely getting him to notice what we all cling to in times of despair and need

Who's name you call out to when all seems lost (if you call Gods name when you are lost why cant you praise him all of the time?)

Pass this on to others if it just gets 1 person to really think about it and turn his life to Jesus isnt that a huge miracle that you helped bring to them?
